I Almost Skipped My Workout Today (But Didn’t)

Okay real talk... today I almost skipped my workout. like fully had my excuses ready: "I slept late", "it’s just one day", "rest is part of the journey" — you know the drill π
but something clicked. I stood in front of the mirror in my oversized tee, hair messy, and I just whispered, “get up.” no drama, no motivational quotes. just... me deciding I won’t break my promise to myself today.
so I did 20 minutes of strength training and some stretching. nothing fancy. no perfect Instagram routine. just sweat, breath, and my favorite playlist blasting girl power tracks πΆπͺ
your fitness doesn’t have to be perfect
mine isn’t. not even close. some days I feel strong. some days I struggle with one push-up. but what matters most is showing up — even just a little. that’s how I lost my first 5kg: consistency over perfection.
remember: movement is medicine
not just for the body, but for the brain too. I was moody, tired, and kind of hating my reflection before that workout. after? I was smiling, stretching, and proud I didn’t quit on myself.
