Hi, friend!

So… this happened the other day while I was waiting for my protein smoothie at the gym café. A guy — friendly, I think? — looked at me and said:

“Wow, you’re kinda muscular for a girl.”

I blinked. Smiled. Sipped water. In my head, I was already drafting 47 different sarcastic replies 😌

But instead I just said, “Thank you.” Because… what else do you say to that?

Here’s the thing — I’ve heard it before. A lot. “Don’t get too bulky.” “Guys don’t like girls with muscles.” “You look strong... for a girl.”

And every time I hear it, I realize this:

Some people still see strong women as something unusual. Like we accidentally wandered out of a superhero movie set and forgot to take the cape off.

But strength isn’t weird. It’s not something I “accidentally” became. I built it — rep by rep, day by day, with sweat and sore legs and early mornings when I didn’t feel like moving. 💥

I love how I look. I love what my body can do. And I’m not here to shrink just to make someone else more comfortable.

If you’ve ever felt judged for being “too much” — too strong, too loud, too proud — just remember, their opinion isn’t your mirror. You’re not too much. You’re just not small enough to fit in their box.

And honestly? That’s a win. 😉

keep lifting, keep shining,
Vanniya 🧡
