Hi, friend!

This morning started with one of those cozy rainy sounds — the kind that makes you want to stay in bed forever, wrapped up in your blanket like a sleepy sushi roll.

And honestly? I almost did.

I stared at my alarm clock. It was 6:12am. I could already hear the rain tapping on the windows, and my brain whispered, “Skip gym today. Sleep is also self-care.”

Now... I totally believe in rest. I love my rest days. But this wasn’t tired. It was lazy pretending to be tired 😅 You know that feeling, right?

So I dragged myself up, brushed my teeth with my eyes half-closed, tied my hair in a messy bun, and told myself: “You’ll feel better after moving.”

And you know what? I did.

The gym was quiet — rain always scares people away. I warmed up slow, let my body wake up gently, and ended up having one of my best workouts this week. Legs felt strong. Mind felt clearer. My rain mood shifted into beast mode by the second set 💪

Sometimes the hardest part is just showing up. Not even to crush it. Just to *be there.*

If you're reading this while curled up on a rainy day thinking “ehh, I’ll skip it today,” that’s okay too. But if part of you wants to go move — even just a little — take this as your sign to do it. Stretch, walk, lift, dance in your room. Just show up for you.

Your body will thank you. Your mind will thank you more.

And don’t forget: even gym girls get lazy sometimes. We just don’t let lazy win every time. ☁️

with love (and wet sneakers),
Vanniya
